The Iranian Yousef Nadarkhani may face execution penalty because he changed his religion to Christianity. I seriously don't see any reason to kill a man because of his beliefs, and why would anyone think of doing that, maybe it's on the Sharia law thing, but I'm pretty sure that anyone from the Islamic scientists could find you a passage that doesn't agree with killing those who changed their religion from Islam. Religions is something between the man and the god he believes in, and anyone should have the right to change his religion whenever he feels that he needs too.

I'm trying to imagine how Nadarkhani or anyone in his position feels like. The guy decided that the religion he was worshiping doesn't suite him anymore, so he chooses to change from his religion into another religion that he believes in it more. Then people from his previous religion tells him that either he go back to his original religion or they will have to kill him in the name of that religion. I don't see that as an interesting offer at all. If you are trying to convince someone to get back to his religion you should try to show him the best of it, unlike that offer which doesn't help at all. The only thing that this offer will do is leaving Nadarkhani with a feeling that he did the right thing.

And Seriously! I don't think that the time will come when all humans will have the same religion, it's just doesn't seem possible. so just let everyone have the religion he believes in, because that what religion is! you have to believe in it not to be forced to it.

Mubarak Behind Bars Mubarak Trial

This first thing I saw this morning was Mubarak behind bars, which didn't looked any good. To be honest I felt sorry for the guy, not just because of his medical conditions, but also because he was in a terrible position. You must probably noticed how his son was trying to cover him from being shot by the camera man.

Many will disagree with me, I see on twitter that people who suffered from his regime are enjoying the way he appeared on a bed behind the bars, and they arguing everybody who feel sorry for him. Pro-Mubarak always mentioning the good side of Mubarak, while Anti-Mubarak keep reminding them of how evil he was. Well I think that both sides need to consider those two factors.

I think it would be much better for him and for the case as an overall if he is allowed not to attened the court house, his appearance in the opening day should be enough, even for those who lost a close one because of him. people will feel sorry for him, and this might affect the case.

I'm not on Mubarak's side.

Drinking Water in Sudan July 21st 2011

It's been like four days now since the drinking water which is delivered to houses in Khartoum has a brown color. even so, the government has already started to implement a new system which will make consuming drinking water more costly by installing new counters in each house to measure how much water do you use.

This really sucks, since we already have tons of sweet water in Sudan, common we have the Nile! and there's no reason for the government to make the water expensive, noting that the filtration process isn't that costly for a sweet water. I mean when they used to filter it, not like the last four days, which looks like the just pump it directly from the river.

One another thing, I got sick after drinking some of that water.

The water now is much better, and is almost back to normal. The new counters system still a problem.

Seriously, that is the worse and the most silly thing Facebook have ever done, What's on your mind?

I don't think what is going on people's mind should be shared, specially on Facebook. It's way more better how Twitter asks the question, which is "What's happening?" because that may be something you are interested to know about people you follow or people who's in your friends list, unlike what's on their minds.

You may think that it doesn't matter what is already written there, people will still write the same stuff as their status update. Well, I think this is not true, and that because when I compare between twitter and Facebook users, I can see more people in twitter write more interesting stuff than Facebook. So I think that people really get affected by that question which encourage them to write a status update.

People now pray on their Facebook status, literally. and the other funny thing is I see people talk to dead people telling them how they miss them and how they want them to be again by their side. other thing, when anyone want to say something to someone and that someone is not able to hear it, or they're no longer have a contact method, they tell everyone that one thing that they wanted to tell that someone, on Facebook.

Just for the record, I just finished my university life, and its only a week ahead from handing my final year project. It feels so good to be free from university, it even feels better when you realize you are not student anymore. For now, I've a lot of free time, so I will work on some articles.
Ohh, and btw I'm a chemical engineer now, feel free to hire me :) :)

Dear readers, if any ..

Its been a while since I last wrote something in this blog. Maybe because I'm too busy these days studying and making final touches on my graduation project, as I'm going to graduate from University of Khartoum on 12th June, or I just run out of stuff that could be written.

Not sure if anybody ever noticed that I've never wrote for a while, but just as to keep this thing alive, I will post this. I hope I will find many good things to write about when I finish my studying life.

Osama Bin Laden's Death

Osama Bin Laden has been finally killed by US special forces in Pakistan. I always hated that man because of they way he used to think and for sure because of killing tons of innocent people and for spreading the terrorism. Actually I feel sorry for him and for the other people who have been brain washed to the degree of thinking that killing innocent human begins is going to lead them to heaven.

It's sad to see people you know consider Osama Bin Laden as a hero. After his death was announced, some of my Facebook friends has been writing good things about him, making his picture as their profile pictures, talking about how he was a good leader and how they believe that he is in heaven right now. Actually there's someone who made his profile picture as a photo of the twin towers falling in the September 11 attacks, which can only means one thing, he is happy to see all these people dying. The most worse part is that they are all educated people.

University of Khartoum Failure with the Online Results Program

Faculty of Engineering in University of Khartoum decided to make this semester's results online. and it came out yesterday evening, which means no one was in the University at that time, so the only way to see the results was online. But as we expected, the system scored a big fail, even more than the online registration!!! Many was unable to see their results due to a lot of problems in the site, and the worst thing that there are many people who saw their results and some of them are celebrating it right now. That's really sucks, since tomorrow is Friday, and those who weren't able to access their results online (including me) will have to wait until Sunday to go check it in the University.

What would happen if they published the results on Sunday using ordinary way (by putting it on the Board!). It would be much better, since all students will be able to see their results at the same time, without leaving many of them wondering for two days about why their results are not out yet, and what could it be.

let me represent to you how much I suffered to see my results and how the university -or the website developer- solved the problem. [Click on Read More below]

First I heard the results are online, and that was in Thursday 7:00Pm, since then I was continuously trying to access the result's site but the link they've announced was just directing me to UofK's main website. after few hours I tried again, but this time the link wasn't directing me to the main website anymore and gave many error messages like [connection timeout]. I continued on trying to access the site the whole Friday.
After the site has finally worked, many were able to see their results. The rest faced another problem which is an error in the log in data. then a friend suggested me a way to see the results by doing a lot of steps after the username and password error message, I tried but nothing up.
Finally the University published a list of silly instructions in Saturday on how to access your results after the [password error message] -which I will post in here also- and that seemed to work for many Students, But not for me and others!!
The final step of the instructions was to call the Engineering Society if non of the above steps helped. So that's exactly what I did. I called my friend [Sharaf El-Din] which is a member in the ES and I made fun of that final step, but the dude asked me about my index number and Student Number and hanged up. Finally, he called me after a while, and he showed me my results. [It wasn't good after all] .. So thanks to the Engineering Society and to my friend for keeping up the good work.

Now let me show you a Screen Shot from the Result's Site and How silly is it:

I will ignore the bad, basic and unprofessional interface which doesn't suite -as they call it- the best well known University in Sudan. And I will only discuss (Translate sarcastically) the instruction, which is showing steps on how to overcome the shoddy programing of the website.

- Look student, if you entered the right Login information, you will not be able to access your results, but instead you will be directed to page that telling you the password is wrong and you will be directed to another page to change your password.

- Now Enter a 8 word Password and keep it for the next login instead of the default password which is your index number, you don't have to use your index anymore, because it's main task is to give you the "password error message"!!

- After that if you entered a wrong information for 3 time, your account will be blocked for 2 hours (Why in the hell!!??), and you might try to access it again after two hours.

- If you wasn't sure from your login information or you couldn't login for any reason, please contact the Academic Office or the Engineering Society.

Is That what you really got UofK, who's that guy who did this website anyway? he doesn't sound like he knows anything. Maybe he's a relative of the Dean or something, I don't know.

Anyway I hope no one will have to suffer anymore to see his results.

Isohunt and 4shared has been Blocked in Sudan

The Sudanese National Telecommunication Corporation has blocked isohunt and 4shared. I understand why the government has blocked many bit torrent search engines because they contains porn torrents unlike isohunt, so for sure adult contents wasn’t the reason behind blocking isohunt. I’ve sent an email to the NTC asking them about the good reasons of blocking isohunt and they never replayed. Maybe they’re trying to block any access to any free file sharing sites, which why I think they’ve blocked 4shared. Also the NTC is trying so hard to block all the proxy sites, so accessing the blocked sites via proxy servers isn’t that easy. Poor Sudan ..

Well, everything is back to normal now. Isohunt and 4shared is now working :)

Sudan, A Developing Country! REALLY??

Sudan is a country that’s classified as a developing country, and that means that it is on the way to become a developed country, and (on the way) means there're many projects, improvements and decision that has to be made to get this country going on the right path to become a developed country.

A basic definition of a developed country is a country that allows all its citizen to enjoy a free and healthy life in a safe environment, “Kofi Annan”. So lets take this definition as the goal of the developing progress, where is our position and which direction are we going, the right or the wrong direction.

Think about 5, 3 and 1 year earlier and compare it with today, if today is more better than 5 years ago, then we are a developing country and we’re going in the right direction, but if the opposite is true then there is something wrong and we should be classified as a demolishing country, and we should ask our selves where are we going.

Sudan is splitting up into two countries, northern and southern Sudan. Economy are going down, all the Prices (Bread, Sugar, Gas, .. etc.) are much more higher than before, Importation of many products including furniture has been banned, hard currency rates are much higher than before. And the funny thing that we were complaining about the old prices because it was really expensive, so imagine how do we feel now.

I’m sure you’ve figured that we are a demolishing country, and you might be thinking about how to get back on the right track, how can we drive Sudan into the right direction to become one of the developed country in the near future.

I really don’t know what to do to help Sudan get back to the right direction, and I really DO NOT RECOMMEND anything, but you can look for other countries which suffered and still suffering from the same problems that we have and watch how they’re trying to solve these problems and learn from them.

Internet Connection has been Extremely Slow in Sudan

Internet connection has been extremely Slow in Sudan since yesterday. Youtube’s home page takes about 15 seconds to load, waiting for a normal quality music video to buffer may take forever, Facebook takes like 1.5 Minutes to load the home page, Speedtest.net never open, bbcarabic.com takes 3.5 Minutes. it’s like there is no connection at all. I don’t know how much it will take to upload this post, but it’s gonna be a long time.

I’ve asked an employer in Sudatel ISP and he said they are just having some problems in the network and it should be fixed by today. I hope it won’t take a long time to fix.

My Condolences to the Coptics in Alexandria

At least 21 people were killed and 70 hurt in the suspected suicide attack, which happened during a New Year's Eve service at the al-Qiddissin Church in Alexandria. bbc

Waking up yesterday with the news of attacking the Coptic Christians in Alexandria was a very sad thing, I just can't imagine how these terrorists spend a lot of time and huge amount of money to kill some people in the new year's Eve just because they have different religious belief. and as the President Hosni Mobark said, Egypt's Muslims and Christians must stand united against terrorism.

And to the Coptics in Alexandria, I now you're having a hard time. Please accept my condolences for the lost of your close ones.

Christians after the Separation of Sudan

The President of Sudan Omer El-Bashir recently said that if the 2011 referendum's result was the separation of the southern Sudan, then the Sudan's Constitution will be modified to make the new Sudan a country that doesn't (if I can call it) respect the coexistence of religions and races, and everyone will be ruled by the Islamic law "Sharia". And Islam will be the official religion in Sudan.

Where doesn't that leave us as Christians, I feel that the situation will be exactly as it in Saudi Arabia.

The Future is very dark and isn't promising at all.

Haven't seen Microsoft Windows for 2 Weeks, and I'm Still alive!

I've been hearing about Linux operating system for a long time, they say a lot of good stuff about it, and I remember I've installed Linux (Fedora) once, but it seemed very complicated. Most of the drivers didn't work, movies, mp3s and also my internet USB device didn't work, installing new application also seemed kinda complicated. And I think all that problems just appeared because I was just afraid to change to another operating system, and that's a normal feeling after using windows for 12 years.

But before two weeks, I visited Linux (Ubuntu) website for some reason, and I found the installing instructions are very easy and it doesn't require any technical knowledge, I just had to download a 1.4MB Program (wubi.exe) for windows and it did all the work for me, now Windows and Ubuntu is both installed on my computer, and I didn't use Windows since then.

In Ubuntu I found all that I want and even more. I didn't have to install any driver, even my USB internet device was ready to use. Only my Nvidia graphics card needed a driver to be installed, and I just opened (System>Administration>Hardware Drivers) in Linux and it found me the driver from the internet ready to be downloaded. And now I'm really enjoying the visual effects of the interface.

I didn't even had the time to miss the programs that I was using in Windows, because I found a compatible versions for Linux, also there is a program in Linux called Wine, and it runs most of Windows compatible programs.

its really great to browse the internet without worrying about the viruses and the hackers, It's really great to have an up-to-date operating system that doesn't just freeze in a middle of a process, also feeling safe when inserting flash disks without worrying about if it's clean or not, because it doesn't matter anymore.

Looking for serial numbers and keygen for hacking the expensive softwares are not necessary anymore, because you will find all the programs available for free.

Although I don't know Linux well yet, but I really recommend you to give it a try.

And for sure you will face some difficulties, but when you visit Ubuntuforums.org you will find thousands of professional Linux users that is waiting to help you.

Who Said Sudanese Don't Respect theTime?!

Do you think Sudanese people respect the time?
I'm quite sure your answer will be: Hell NO!

Well my friends, the fact is you don't know Sudanese people yet, because they really do respect the time, but in their own way.

The problem is we have two different types of timing, Sudanese timing and English timing. You should just ask the person you are willing to meet about which timing you are going to work with. If you don't ask, then Sudanese timing will be applied by default.

For English timing there is an error of +5 minutes.

But for the Sudanese timing there's four types of errors:

When the other person tell you that he will show up after 5 minutes, expect him after 30 minutes.
If he said after 15 minutes, then we are talking about an hour here.
If he said after 1 hour, he will show up after 1 hour. weird huh!
When he tell you he will be there at 8:00, he will show up at 8:40.

That's it.

Although I'm not that serious, but this is almost true.

Sudan is Falling Down

I'm writing this and I'm really upset about Sudan's future. Sudan is falling down, and all that because five months earlier tons of uneducated people were asked to pick the guy who will build Sudan's future, and they all picked the WRONG guy.

Now we are all suffering and we will even suffer more.

The Degradation has already started, and you can notice the degradation from decisions that have been made in the last period and also from other ones that will be made in the next few months.

Banning Shisha, Banning men from wearing shorts, Set a uniform for UNIVERSITY Students!!!! You might be thinking it's not a big deal, but believe me its just the beginning.

I don't know who gives him these ideas, because I have good ones too. How about banning cigarettes and Tumbak. Hmm, I think banning Pepsi is also good. What about banning bread, we can just eat Kissra.

its not only about banning stuff, its also about making decision that doesn't make any sense.

Refuse What You Don't Deserve

If you're Sudanese, you live in Sudan, you love your country but you don't like the way it goes, you want to do something good for it, but you feel like you're just a normal citizen and you can't change anything. Well, this topic is JUST FOR YOU!!!!
I will give my self a permission to create a theory or a rule called Refuse what you don't Deserve, then I will suggest you to use it, I can't guarantee the results but we have nothing to lose.
First, I will explain why I thought of it, and in order to explain, I will take the Sudan National Television Channel as an example. We all know that it sucks in almost everything! Graphics, Montage, Content, Sound Effects, Advertisements, News anchors, Studios, Presenters ... etc. Do you know why? because non-qualified people are working in it.
Now I need you to think of EVERY weak system in Sudan that you don't like, traffic system for example, and you will notice non-qualified people behind this weakness.
In Sudan its normal that non-qualified people get hired, and qualified people doesn't. Its a matter of how is your relations.

So here's how to use it: Don't accept the job if you think you aren't the right person for it, especially in sensitive jobs.

I know I'm asking the impossible and the perfection, but someone has to sacrifice for Sudan's sake. also you will be preventing yourself from looking like an idiot. An engineer once told me that he knew another engineer who works in a factory asks workers about basic stuff, Stuff that workers themselves have learned it from engineers just like him.

BUT: if you're not sure wither you are good for the job or not, you can just take it, but first you have to promise yourself that you will keep improving you skills and abilities by studying, reading more books and references, take extra course .. etc. until you feel that you can do your job perfectly.

Banning Shisha in Sudan!

Shisha or Smoking water pipe has been banned in Sudan from the public places. I'm with banning the random people who serve it on streets, but when it comes to cafes I disagree with the banning.
The Problem: Sudan is a country that doesn't have many entertaining places to go, and you can notice the rush when the government made the public gardens (like Peace Gardens and the gardens in Matar st.or Africa st.).
Many limited-income people took advantages from this rush and started small businesses like selling Ice-cream, tea, snacks and Shisha.
First, serving Shisha wasn't noticeable until they closed these gardens by fences for repairing and I think someone is planning to tern it from public gardens to private business. But those who used to serve Shisha have depended on its profit as their main income, so after closing the gardens they continued serving Shisha, but on the streets around the gardens. And the view became very bad and uncivilized.
So ban it from these places but LEAVE the cafes alone.
To WHOEVER who made this decision, you're lucky I don't smoke Shisha.

I have lost hope in Sudan

Before the last month I had hope in this country (Sudan), I thought that if we were ruled by a good president we might get better and better. And I became very interested in politics especially before the elections, I was imagining Sudan after 50 years and I saw a good country.
But lately many factors made me to discover that there is no hope, and Sudan will stay like it is or it might get even worse.
So I decided not to give a shit to politics, and not even to think how to give something good to this country, I will just live my life, maybe in other country .. who knows!
I know this is a negative thinking but I am ok with it.

Parenting

I have been thinking lately of what exactly parents’ job. I know it’s weird to think about this stuff when you are 20 years old, but I have too many reasons that made me think of it. One of them was a page in Facebook called “I am going to be the best parent ever”, and after liking that page, I started to imagine myself as a father, how exactly I’m going to treat my children. Also the youth generation should know that our country’s future is in our future children’s hands, so we have to raise them in a good environment. By the way I’m still thinking of how weird this topic is, but I’m going to write about it anyway.
For me I think the main job of the parents is to protect their children when they cannot protect themselves, and by when I mean that part of their life which is hopefully under 18 years old.
During these 18 years the parents must make their children do or practice many activities, activities that could help them to have a good life in the near future, let’s take sports as an example or maybe activities that could help them to learn something about taking the responsibility and making decisions.
Parents should tell their children the deference between right and wrong, and to show them the benefits of doing the right things and the consequences of doing the wrong things, and give them a space. But also I believe that in earlier ages, parents must force their children to do the right things so they can get used to it, of course forcing them without violence.
Most of our know-how or expertness comes from the tons of mistakes we made, so sometimes I think parents should let their children experience stuff which they know it’s wrong, but with supervision.
I have mentioned earlier in this article in the second paragraph the sentence “hopefully under 18 years old”, because in that age the children should have been grown-up, but that grown-up age could extend maybe to 25 years old or maybe 30, depends on how earlier the children make the mistakes and experience stuff.
I know I’m talking from a theoretical viewpoint, but I just wanted to share what I was thinking.

When I was writing this article, my sister told me a sadly news about 22 years old guy who was killed in a car accident this morning. I believe that god wanted Daniel to be with him, May you rest in peace Daniel Peter.
Please pray for him, and also pray for his family so they can handle the disaster of losing him :'(

Engineers’ Salary in Sudan

Yesterday I met a friend I hadn’t seen for a long time. He is a mechanical engineer, graduated from University of Sudan. While we were in my car heading to play squash, I asked him about his work. He works for a manufacturer that produces cigarettes. He told me that his work is very tough and he gets a monthly payment that doesn’t reach $450.

Let us say that he works 8 hours a day, 5 days a week, and I will assume that he gets $450 per month. That is a total of 160 hours per month. In other words he gets $2.8125 per hour. On the other hand I have a cousin who is working in an airport in the united states, and I think he is working in the cargo department or something, and he gets about 8-10 Dollars per hour.

It's really amazing that an engineer gets paid $2.8/hour in a country with high living expenses like Sudan, Of course there are some companies and manufactures give high salaries, but unfortunately they do not accept Sudanese workers or engineers, and if they do, then the job priority will be for foreign engineers.

In Sudan the dream starts when a student gets a great score in high school, which saves him from paying thousands of dollars to enter a normal university, then he discovers that the university thing is just a hoax, so he has to find another source (internet, magazines, references … etc). After all he/she might find good work with an acceptable salary, or he might just find work. And for my friend, who is one of the thousands of engineers graduating every year, he just found work. Or as I call it, he has found something to do in some place, and they give him the money just to reach that place. And that something is better than nothing.

You know what, I feel sorry for those who pay to get educated in Sudan. For example, if anyone wants to study engineering in our university at his own expense, he is going to have to pay about $5000 a year for straight five years, which make it a total of $25,000. Do you think that anyone can recover this money with a salary of $500 per month? I don’t think so.

That Type of Sudanese People

I want to talk about a type of Sudanese people .. that simple, uneducated and uncultured type of people .. many of them go to universities but they still uneducated and uncultured .. To be honest i don't know where to start .. maybe i will start by telling you that I was (or still) one of those people .. maybe I'm not that qualified person to talk about this stuff, but I really want to talk about those people .. people don't care about how others feel, people don't give a shit to politics, people don't want to know what is going around them .. all they care about are themselves .. their goal in life is to satisfy their wants , they wake up in the morning, take some shower, drink some tee, go to work or university just to study and study, then they come back home, take a rest, take a shower, open Facebook, maybe go out to have some fun, then back to home, open Facebook, go to sleep .. and this circle repeat itself for everyday in their life .. and I will give you an example of one of these people .. I asked him before the Elections: Dude for who are you going to vote, He Said: of course for El-Bashir, then I asked him: and you will vote for him for a reason, right? and he said: for sure man, and then I asked him for that reason and it was jaw dropping reason .. He said that he will vote for the current president El-bashir because he thinks that the people in Sudan are living peacefully .. not like the other countries where they have a war .. I don't know how you are going to believe this .. at first i thought that reason was a joke and i laughed, but he looked very serious .. and i said to him: Dude?!! what the hell are you saying, what about the conflict and the genocide in Darfur, do you know anything about that? after thinking he replied: maybe you are right but I don't have any problems in where i live, so am going to vote for him and anyone is suffering from his regime may vote for another one. The point here is not about to who he's going to vote .. the point here is WHY ..

As I said before I was one of those people and i don't know too much about politics, but am trying to learn some, why politics? .. because I think that the only way to change this country to better is by educating all its citizen about politics .. with that knowledge you can pick your President wisely and then he will going to drive this country forward .. so if you want to save this country's future you have 5 years to encourage one person to read a newspaper daily.

I wished that i can deliver a message for those people from this blog, but they probably are not going to read this shit anyway .. they have a lot of things to do.

- Sudan broke diplomatic relations with the U.S. in June 1967, following the outbreak of the Arab-Israeli War.
- Relations improved after July 1971, when the Sudanese Communist Party attempted to overthrow President Nimeiri, and Nimeiri suspected Soviet involvement.
- U.S. assistance for resettlement of refugees following the 1972 peace settlement with the south added further improved relations.
- On March 1, 1973, Palestinian terrorists of the "Black September" organization murdered U.S. Ambassador Cleo A. Noel and Deputy Chief of Mission Curtis G. Moore in Khartoum.
- Relations with the Sudan remained static until early 1976, when President Nimeiri mediated the release of 10 American hostages being held by Eritrean insurgents in rebel strongholds in northern Ethiopia.
- In 1976, the U.S. decided to resume economic assistance to the Sudan.
- In late 1985, there was a reduction in staff at the U.S. Embassy in Khartoum because of the presence in Khartoum of a large contingent of Libyan terrorists.
- In April 1986, relations with Sudan deteriorated when the U.S. bombed Tripoli, Libya. A U.S. Embassy employee was shot on April 16, 1986. Immediately following this incident, all non-essential personnel and all dependents left for six months. At this time, Sudan was the single largest recipient of U.S. development and military assistance in sub-Saharan Africa. However, official U.S. development assistance was suspended in 1989 in the wake of the military coup against the elected government, which brought to power the National Islamist Front led by General Bashir.
- U.S. relations with Sudan were further strained in the 1990s.
- Sudan backed Iraq in its invasion of Kuwait and provided sanctuary and assistance to Islamic terrorist groups.
- In the early and mid-1990s, Carlos the Jackal, Osama bin Laden, Abu Nidal, and other terrorist leaders resided in Khartoum.
- Sudan's role in the radical Pan-Arab Islamic Conference represented a matter of great concern to the security of American officials and dependents in Khartoum, resulting in several drawdowns and/or evacuations of U.S. personnel from Khartoum in the early-mid 1990s.
- Sudan's Islamist links with international terrorist organizations represented a special matter of concern for the U.S. Government, leading to Sudan's 1993 designation as a state sponsor of terrorism and a suspension of U.S. Embassy operations in Khartoum in 1996.
- In October 1997, the U.S. imposed comprehensive economic, trade, and financial sanctions against the Sudan. (and There was an exception for the Sudanese Gum Arabic).
- In August 1998, in the wake of the East Africa embassy bombings, the U.S. launched cruise missile strikes against Khartoum.
- The last U.S. Ambassador to the Sudan, Ambassador Tim Carney, departed post prior to this event and no new ambassador has been designated since.
- The U.S. and Sudan entered into a bilateral dialogue on counter-terrorism in May 2000.
- Sudan has provided concrete cooperation against international terrorism since the September 11, 2001, terrorism strikes on New York and Washington.
- In response to the Government of Sudan's continued complicity in unabated violence occurring in Darfur, President Bush imposed new economic sanctions on Sudan in May 2007.

I heard that the Syrian exhibition is working these days, that prosaic store which opens for two weeks every 2 months in one of the Friendship's halls. I don't remember when was the last time i went to it .. and you know what .. I don't want even to remember that i entered it, but what i don't want to forget is that store which sells women underwear which have a Sudanese male vendors .. Why .. why why?!! what in the hell they was trying to Do/Prove .. I think they are pathetic boys who were trying to get a chance to talk to women .. in Sudanese term 7ojaaar .. I wonder how a conversation with those Sudanese male vendors and a lady is going to be like :

The Lady : Hello (Slam Alakom)

The Vendor: Hello hello lovely lady and welcome to our store, i hope you like it and i hope you are enjoying your shopping in this syrian prosaic exhabition.

The Lady: ummm !!???!! ok thanks.

The Vendor: How can I help you lovely lady?

The Lady: (replying timidly) can you show me that B.. umm Brr.. Bbbb ... (and finally pointing with her hand) show me that thing ..

The Vendor: here it is lovely lady .. I hope you like it, and for the price it is not a problem at all.

I will keep the rest of the conversation for your imagination .. including discussions about the sizes and the colors of that stuff.

And the funniest thing is that most of stores in the exhibition is managed by women and have a Sudanese female vendors including guys underwear store .. except the CD's store and that guy who's selling cheap hand watches and of course the women underwear store.

The Point is that store will not going to sell even a single piece of their goods that way ..of course assuming their purpose is selling it ..

I'm not sure if those male vendors is still running that store or not but you can go check them by yourself ..

When you wake up in the morning with a pain in your muscles because of the high humidity which caused by the air cooler (because you can't provide the money to buy more of the expensive electricity to use an air conditioner instead of the air cooler), - believe me .. in Sudan we NEED an air conditioner- and when driving your car on the way to university you discover that you don't have enough fuel, and you find the nearby fuel station which is located in a high traffic area is not working!! then you go to other fuel station, and you find it very crowded and the boys which are working in it look like they get paid to work as slow as they can, and the waiting cars doesn't have a line to organize the order of who came first, they are going wild and the organizing law is how old your car and how much you scared to scratch it .. then you discover that its impossible to fill your tank and to reach the lecture at the same time, so you take the chance and go to university without getting any fuel after waiting about 30 minutes at the fuel station .. and when you are in the way back to home the streets are crowded like hell and the temperature like hell too (45 degree Celsius = 113 Fahrenheit) .. an you can't turn on the car air conditioner because you don't have enough fuel .. and when you come by the same stations you find the first one is still not working and the second one is still crowded like hell .. so you go straight to your house .. have a lunch, take some rest and write an article in your blog about what happened .. You must be in Sudan.

I didn't mention that guy who was crossing the street without looking at the cars and I almost hit him .. then i shouted at him "You F**king idiot" .. and he seemed very upset from me because i shouted at him!! WTH.

Also I didn't mention those cars who crossed the red light in front of traffic police and he didn't even move an arm. And the empty ambulance switching the horn on just to try to avoid the crowd .. and the cars following it to take advantage from the horn effect .. ahhh and for the fuel price we pay 0.65 dollar for one liter.

God help us.
The bright side in this article that I have a car, because the Public Transportation SUCKS!!! really SUCKS.

When talking about Sudan weather we are talking about temperature of 47 Degree Celsius .. and I though that there is no one will enjoy living in such a temperature like this .. put i discovered that i was wrong when I was reading an article written in Alsudani newspaper .. the writer seemed to be enjoying this weather .. Hitting Stupid People with my Car .. How it feels

Last year I made a car accident and it happened because i was trying to avoid hitting a stupid lady which crossing the street .. I don't know what the hell she was thinking of when she was crossing the street while the car's light is green and without even looking at the cars! I think she was trying to kill her self because there isn't other explanation .. ohhh or she's mentally retarded .. I can't lie but after crashing my car into the side creek i wished that she's dead because me and my friends could get killed because her stupidity .. after all I thank god everyday for not hitting her because if i did, i would have felt terrible .. you know killing a person is kinda creepy .. anyway after the accident i got very paranoid from people who's trying to cross the street in front of me .. i see the accident scene with every stupid person crossing the streets .. I am deadly sure that Sudanese people have a good reason for crossing the streets that way .. ummmm for example maybe they are trying to get some money, or they hate life, or they love the wheel chair.

You know what .. with time and after seeing that degree of stupidity, i might not feel bad for killing a stupid person by my car .. accidentally for sure .. and for the bail that insurance's job.

Our traffic system is like that one in the jungle so here's a little advise for Sudan visitors: "Driving a car in this country will not be a good idea .. get a Sudanese driver".

Religion Intolerance

Intolerance comes from ignorance, ignorance comes from lack of eduction, education is government responsibility, intolerance leads to persecution, and I think that tolerance also comes from that fear inside you of being wrong, especially in religions, so to takeout this fear you're going to have to make no spaces for the other religion to move in it, then you will feel safe because you don't have any competition. Also intolerance isn't just about rejecting the people from other religions it's also about considering topics like this as a sensitive topic and people should not talk about these stuff because you think that you are one hundred percent right, so why wasting time?

Two things can stop your mind from thinking .. Anger and Intolerance, so being intolerance makes u look like an idiot because your mind were not be working (thinking).

Both Muslims and Christians are asked to spread their religion .. so think about the best way to do it, and when I ask you to think then I'm asking you not to be intolerance, try to hate others, treat them bad, try to make them feel that you are much better compared to them, or you can try to love them and serve they needs .. and see what works for you and continue doing it.

For me I'm Christian and I live in Islamic country and most of my friends are Muslims, also my best friend is Muslim too. so please people try to live in piece and respect each others especially you Egyptian people ..

Youtube is Blocked in Sudan

Youtube is being blocked in Sudan for the last ten days, and we all believe that the National Telcom. Corporation behind this blocking because someone uploaded a video that shows group of people fraud the elections .. but the electoral commission said that this video has been faked and there is no possibility of this thing to happen.
The newspapers keeps saying it's a technical problem, and the NTC has nothing to do with this blocking, if so then why local websites which also published the link for the video are being blocked?
All we want is to unblock the youtube, and if the blocking because the video then i can assure to you that everyone have watched it .. come on the BBC and CNN have shown this video!
SO unblock this website because it's #2 most visited websites, and we need it.

The Previous President of Sudan wins the Elections.

Today the previous president of Sudan Omer El-Basheer wins the Election with the percentage of 68%, and he will be sitting on the presidential chair for more 5 years, He took the chair in 1989 by military coup. He was leading this country until this year, and for more 5 year.
And I hope he:
- Take care of the other regions, because there is a huge difference between the capital city Khartoum and the other regions, it's like another country.
- Save the starving families and kids in Darfur and the south.
- Reduce the taxes, and also reduce the customs, believe it or not but because of customs we pay a 200% of car's original price.
- Make improvements in the existing hospitals, schools and universities and build new ones because we NEED it.
- fighting corruption and make disciplinary committee for those in power.
- Make improvements in agriculture.

and the list is very long .. and I hope that he make what he sees good for these country which is stopping the separation of the south from the north .. I don't know how but he should do something about it, maybe by starting to convince the southern sudanese to vote for the unity by doing something good for them so they will have a reason to vote for unity, because as i see now there is no such a good reason for them .. because they going to decide this thing by voting.

This is my first post in this blog, I've created it about 2 years ago, but i didn't post anything until this moment because i thought that no one will ever going to read what i wrote, because am not a good writer pules i suck in English and even more i don't have any interesting thing to talk about.
But I've being thinking, i shouldn't not write for people, i should write for my self, first to improve my English, and then to release all what i kept in my chest.
